@Skizzo: i bet poor sound quality is the result of tripple processing - first when you grabbed/encoded into mp3, then windows movie maker processed it again, and then it got further screwed up by youtube. try to have less processing done to your clips - in general, it's better to operate with raw data or lossless compression (flac, eac etc.) right untill you have to reduce the size of your clip to meet youtube requirements.

I originally started with producing the clip in Movie Maker, but when I was nearly finished I wanted to see how it would look. Movie Maker then decided that I couldn't make the project into a valid movie file (WMV), for reasons that still elude me.

Needless to say I was pretty pissed at having to start all over again, so this time I used Pinnacle. I then had to be pretty creative in cutting the top and bottom of the screen (because of the subtitles in the movies and because I've mixed cutscenes and scenes from the game itself) which I think tuned down the quality of the movie files. I still don't know how to cut away top and bottom of a movie file properly, but I managed to do it somehow. Then I found out that Pinnacle could only export the file as an AVI, which forced me to use Movie Maker to convert the file to WMV.

Anyway, the original plan was to make the entire thing in Windows Movie Maker, to keep it plain and simple. However, the unwillingness of Movie Maker to produce the file has led me to do it this way.

Don't worry: it's on the list. I put the entire company of Microsoft on there, just to be on the safe side.

Maybe I'll try to make my own TLJ music clip. Now I just need to find suitable song (songs). Also I'd like to find a way to extract models from the game resources, to make new animation with them.
