So... where's the guardian's penis?

Just finished (really fantastic, critics didn't gush nearly enough about this game) and this was bothering me. Seems like a missed opportunity - in the US anyway, some prude would see a penis and start a fuss and the obvious artistry of the game would start a counter-fuss. News shows would report on it, politicians would talk about it, and the end result would be more copies sold.

Since the game's M-rated anyway, I don't see any reason to leave it out. The added benefit would be to further the games-as-art debate in the public's eye.

Would also make the game marginally better. Not that it's a big deal, but while April and the guardian are talking you might actually be listening to what they're talking about instead of spending the whole time scratching your head and saying, "Hey... where's his penis?"

No, it's there. During the title sequence in the Throne Room, you get a silhouetted profile for about a second.

I was trying to take a screen, and then realised just what kind of fan I had become. Besides, I couldn't get Fraps to work properly.

Anyone else able to get one?

PS: Oh, and Ken? Bloody (I thought I'd save the forum from my more usually colourful language) hilarious.

I had noticed it too while playing, but didn't dare to voice it aloud

. At the moment, I thought it was because the dialogue might otherwise be a bit strange, with April looking up and that guy's dick right in front of her nose...

The idea we don't see his penis because his soul is separated from his body doesn't stand really, I think, because there is no reason why a soul would have no sex. After all, soul is what we are made of, if the word means anything, and you can hardly consider your sexual identity as a side effect in your life.

Just pointing out my critical analysis of the plot details. I'm sure the sausage chopping has a meaning. Perhaps this is an important clue to the fate of the twin worlds.

I think you interpreted what I was saying backwards. The man we see is the body of Gordon. His soul is somewhere else, separated from him. I'm assuming his fireman was cut off and boxed up with the rest of his personality, locked in a safe deposit box somewhere.

Yeah, was starting the game just now, and i notised. (even before reading here. Came to say "my bad" :P ) Still... easy to miss.

Yeah, Fraps seem unable to record the movies in TLJ. When they come, it justs stops recording too

tried print screen too.... but that only returned a blank. or black rather.

I'm not exactly sure what point I'm making, but I have a feeling that if the guardian was a girl, we'd have boobs but no nipples.
