Wow, I never thought that making a simple post would come to the attention of Tornquist himself...

Okay, I finally broke down and added an "in the news" section for those totally unimportant characters that don't even know our protagonists exist.
So bring on the totally trivial names!

Yes, we did the same for the lost FACT articles in TLJ. I had to fight for those... :B

Okay, I lied. For the sake of completeness, I put in Mary Minstrum and Mrs. Mullins in that "other" section.
![]() Also added Wazza the Watilla and Li'l Big Cat and Bob. Last edited by Sianna Tors; 07-01-2006 at 01:04 PM. |

I don't know if she's worth adding, but Charlie had a doctor friend.

![]() Would make sense to refer to April as Lady Alvane and make it unlikelier that April marries Kian and stays in Arcadia. |

Though I do it a handful of times in the list, I really prefer to avoid including people who don't have names into list. Occasionally someone sneaks in because their lack of a name seems to be their name, like in the case of "The Chinaman" who is credited at the end as being ... The Chinaman. |

In chapter 4, Zoë witnesses a scene of two Azadi soldiers 'discussing' the fate of an elderly man who was caught selling medicine in the Oldtown/ghetto to the magicals. And then along comes April who comments about Torbear being in jail. Could that elderly man be Torbear? Unfortunately, at least I couldn't get Zoë to catch him, or the Azadi soldiers, with the focus field... edit: Forgot, and hate double-posting... In the South Market of Marcuria, there's a sign of Madam(e?) Emiliana's. Near the gate to the ghetto and the alley. Also, one of the patrons at the Fringe, while marveling at Zoë's coat, asks if it's Trisha West's... I don't know if either of those is worth adding to the list, but...

Madam Emiliana is a bit more ... questionable. From the title, we can guess that Tornquist had some Amsterdam on his mind, but can we be sure?

Well, her name has its roots in the Latin word aemulus 'rival'...
But other than that? The characters don't even admit the sign's existence! ![]() What about Mr. Chandramouli? He is apparently, according to the email from Katrina (David A.'s friend), a lecturer in molecular imagining in their university... |
