It's a shame people fail to see the significance of a character like Zoe. What you don't like about her is probably what you don't like in yourself, is all I'm going to say.

That's a very dismissive and shameful attitude to have considering you have no idea who any of us are. Trite platitudes are probably not the most effective or useful arguments. And for the record, I don't like Hitler much either, and if you can believe it or not, I don't actually want to kill millions of people either! Shocker.

    1. Whines to father.
    2. Whines to ex-boyfriend.
    3. Whines to friend.
    4. Whines to barista.
    5. Whines to sexy accent man she met 5 hours ago.
    6. Whines to dragon lady she met 5 minutes ago.
    7. Likes taking clothes off at party.
    8. Likes HAVING parties in the first place.

First three possibly understandable. But on the whole, not really the track record of an introvert.

Oh, come now. Liking having parties is an extrovert attribute? That's way, way off. Are you sure you know what these terms mean?
(as of taking of clothes - have you ever been drunk and sexy at the same time? )

Also, you're not answering my question.
A fully working kitchen holds a great many things, not least of which is a huge collection of ways of committing horrible murder, plus multiple ways of getting rid of the evidence.

My "shameful and dismissive attitude" comes from a place in which I am personally able to identify with her, with the simple fact that she is just that old, plain-Jane who can be anyone. She's absolutely stuck, desperately trying to claw her way out of her own nihilism, something that people who actually sit, pontificate and lose touch with reality may experience. And it is DREADFUL!

I don't know who you are and I don't care to, either. Same applies to majority of the other people here. Also, your whole whining theory is based off of your own narrow minded interpretation of a character's depth you can't grasp. Once you begin to contemplate things like 'being' and 'value', then perhaps you wouldn't be so quick to dismiss her yourself.

Lastly- speaking of trite platitudes.. Hitler, really? Good bye.

Actually when I played 6 years ago, Zoe really was like me. I never realised these little things that was a bit too much. But I started playing it again recently and her opening really shines through as shit...I don't know, still find her charming imo. Protagonist with flaws is better than no flaws and no, she doesn't give up at the end! Why the heck would she let Chang hook her up the Dreamer if so?

Don't be so hard on yourself. We all have "flaws" which other people are going to find very annoying & off putting. Look at all the people you like or love, is there a one of them you can say doesn't have something in their character that you find unappealing?
Do you care for them any less?

The music while pleasant isn't what made me like Zoe. I like her because she put her life in mortal danger for a friend. This is no minor thing to me, it far out weighs her flaws.

Yep, taking an argument to its logical extreme is a good way to expose the fallaciousness of it.
