It's a while since my last attempts, but I'm fairly sure I've tried that and it didn't work - possibly, as I think about it, the problem was more about how hideously uncomfortable it is to not Sellotape the key down than not being able to reach per se.

I'm on the verge of reinstalling and replaying TLJ, so I'll give remapping a go again once I move on to Dreamfall. Oh, to get past the lab...

Yeah, I thought those were scary too. And I have a friend who just quit there, cause he didn't get any further

Ah, I didn't really mind the sneaking and fighting. It was just an added option for a variety of gameplayers.

Dreamfall requires you first to find your way around corridors that you haven't a clue where the guards might be or what movement patterns they might be taking.
April can't see from that angle, so I don't think we should either. It's about the experience as well as the gameplay itself. One of the reasons I really liked DF- it was fairly realistic to the perspective of the characters. Almost like a book. A story.

But if you have to replay a certain part at least several times, because your character dies, than that is hardly realistic, is it?

Ah, but all adventure game hero(in)es possess the mystic powers of Sáhvčlo'ád, something us mere mortals lack.

*Googles Sáhvčlo'ád, which doesn't turn up anything useful*

    Ah, yes... Sáhvčlo'ád... Of course.

You think it should have used toggle functionality?

I wouldn't like that, I prefer holding the keys down, myself.

Would you rather start the whole game AGAIN every time you die!?

It's as realistic as you can get without going to extremes

    TLJ managed fine
Would be kinda strange with an adventure/action/adventure (which I guess is the leading definition of DF) where you were unable to die, though.

I would rather see that the game didn't have any fighting in it at all.

    hear, hear!
A fully working kitchen holds a great many things, not least of which is a huge collection of ways of committing horrible murder, plus multiple ways of getting rid of the evidence.

Sure, I wouldn't be particularly disappointed if they announced that you can't die in DFC.

Actually, I liked the fighting. It's not hard and it makes it a bit more intense sometimes.
I think Ragnar was just trying to expand to reach out to other types of gamers.
