...well...i haven't played it myself...but i've heard that its worth it. I heard that it rocks! It offers you the freedom of choice on what you are doing (heard there are 8 possible endings). As for me...I would ( and will purchase it) :)

This game, is actually in my opinion the greatest game EVER (together with TLJ ofcourse). I fell in love with TLJ because I felt a certain Blade Runner atmosphere in it. Blade Runner is HIGHLY recommended for TLJ fans, and it also features GREAT music just like TLJ.

Along with TLJ, Blade Runner game is one of the best classic adventure games made in last five years. Not that there was too many serious competitors.

If you are fan of the movie, or the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick, this is almost MUST HAVE for you.

The game itself is rather short, but the plot is very dense and thoughtful and it has a high replayability. The graphics looks a bit aged (the ingame character models were too grainy even at the time of its release - Nov 1997), but still pretty impressive.

There are 13 possible endings!

I've seen the cdrom patch floating around the net. What does that do?
And does anyone own the DVD version?

I am not sure about the patch... the game looks pretty flawless and bug-free and I havent noticed any radical changes after installing it.

I've played it. It's pretty good, great atmosphere, decent story, graphics and voice acting. The biggest flaw, though, is that it has almost no puzzles. You simply go wherever the plot takes you and click any characters you find until you've exhausted all possible options. It's a great game, but if you're looking for a challenging puzzler, you won't find it here.

Blade Runner's all about atmosphere. It's what makes the game I think, same for TLJ. TLJ is pretty difficult (for me) to puzzle out, but Blade Runner is pretty easy. It's a hell of a great game though.

i liked BR, it's a few years now since i played it but from what i remember the graphics pretty well captured the vibe of the movie and most of the 'puzzles' were conversation-based. by the time i'd finished it though, i was longing for freedom and to be able to look up and see the sky, but it's the most similar game to TLJ that i can think of.

Yes, I'm 100% sure that EVERYONE at this forum will love BR. I loved TLJ because it's similar to BR so it can work otherwise too.

unfortunately ...no :( ...i'm far far away from home (about 6000+ miles i think =p)

so i only have this one computer here and i had done a clean install of xp b4 coming ...

its weird though ...coz it appears that blade runner can run on xp .... i.e. there are no known problems with it not being able to run on xp ...so the problem is very likely sth to do with my machine ...

if only there were a blade runner forum lying arnd somewhere ;) ...

thanks ...but i've already tried that n it was of no use...

....after a careful analysis ...i think blade runner doesn't agree with S3 graphic cards :( ...coz other than that I can't see what else is wrong ...

sighh ...:(

hmm ...if its coz of XP then its coz of XP pro ...tried it out on a frens computer which was using xp home ....and that worked like a dream ....so if the OS is the problem ...its probably xp pro (w/SP1) ...kinda unlikely imho? ...but i dunno ....for all i know that could be the problem :(
