Precisely, what kind of problem you have encountered?

Perhaps this question should be asked at the tech help forum. http://forums.longestjourney.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=4

This happens also if you launch the game by clicking on the tlj EXE file itself?

weird... it works fine on my XP... do you have the Home or Pro version (not that it should make a difference, but it'd still be interesting to know).

Yeah, that'd be what I would've suggested as well (comatibility mode). WinXP's compatability mode is surprisingly stable.. I was impressed.

From what I hear, the game itself works fine in WinXP, but the launcher, that little window that pops up every time you start the game and lets you manage a few settings, doesn't. It should work fine if you run the game directly through the main .EXE, though.
