Ch 12 can't slide the lock

I have gone through nearly all of CH 12, and would be ready to blast off with Adrian--except for one minor problem. I can't GET TO him. I know which airlock he's in. I have the mag key. I see the lock box and have heard the cover needs to slide back (so I can use the key). I have been all over that lock, pixel by pixel and never get the icon showing I can manipulate the cover to make it slide! I can't believe I solved the rubber ducky puzzle and am stopped because the lock cover won't slide! Where or How does that cover slide? Help! So very frustrated...

If I can I can try uploading my save game right after I opened the gate with adrian and let you download it.. that MIGHT help you... Just pm me your email.. and I'll see what I can do.. :)

Thanks for the offer of help, Xehirut.

But I found out what the problem was--some kind of weird computer glitch. For some reason my computer "forgot" I viewed the screen in the guard's room that told me where Adrian was being held. In my frustration with this lock-slide problem I just started retracing all the steps I could think of, and when I went back to that screen I got the initial roster of names--again. Once I viewed that--again--the computer allowed me to slide the lock.

This computer "forgetting" that step happened several times, through restarting the game and computer. I have no explanation for it.

So, Adrian found, pods took off--game finished. Which I'm feeling bittersweet about.

I just had this exact same problem... but I don't understand what or where I can go/do to get the stupid thing to "remember" that I looked at the panel. Hm... could ya reply with the answer? thanks =)

lol, never mind. THAT computer... I just skipped over the text thinking it was nothing... that might have been half the problem (not giving the comp enough time to think over what triggers need to be, uh... triggered).
