Getting talking bird for old man

I feel really stupid because I really need help, AGAIN!

I have gambled with the cups dealer and used the srewdriver but all I got was the calulator. I tried to gamble with him again but he wouldn't let me. I have also visited the old man several occasions and every time i'ts just about maritime stories. How do I get that bird? What am I doing wrong?:(

You'll need to ask captain Nebevey to take you somewhere specific on his ship and then you'll be able to talk to the old man about that place and Nebevey and the bird. Then you will be able to get the bird.

I have already gone to captain Nebevay and asked him to take me somewhere. I also have gone to the old man and he told me if I got his bird back he would help me deal with captain Nebevay. So Then I went to the cups dealer and he still won't let me deal with him to get the bird. What should I do now?

You can never win the bird by playing. Think about why the cups dealer won't let you play anymore. Strike a deal.

How can I strike a deal? The dealer either says he's not talking to me or April says that she wants to play.
