Hi celtic,
I finished it two weeks ago...and naturally I loved it. The fact is at the beginning og the game, the hotel reminded me a lot the "Border House" of TLJ !!
But the graphics of the game are really amazing and detailed. If TLJ would have be done now, he would have this graphic quality

I have played the Syberia demo, and I liked it too much..I wonder, has anyone links for Syberia other than the official? Also, how much does the game costs there? Here at Greece is overpriced, and probably I shall have to buy it copied in order to afford it..But it's too good a work..TLJ and Syberia became my favorites :)

I just bought this game and character's level of detail is out of this world for a 3rd person PC game! The characters look so smooth and life like! I can even tell you that the characters look as smooth as in Tekken 4!

Yeah, is banned...but it is too silly..I mean,we became a open robe at the rest of the world..it is banned even at your homes..Netcafes are closing by force-police,the one over the another :(
Anyway back to my original question,do they are any other pages and forums for Syberia and TLJ other than the official?

There's a pretty good TLJ forum here (pub95.ezboard.com/bthelongestjourneyfans). I'm not sure about any Syberia forums.

Well you can go over here:
Dreamcatcher page (http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/)
You can find info on the Syberia product and there is Syberia forum over there!

I was wondering if the great reviews on Syberia are true. I love TLJ. I've gotten other software from Dreamcatchers, which produces Syberia in all of the places I've looked, and not been happy with the graphics. The characters in some of them are very blocky. Just wondering, if those of you that have played it think it's as beautiful as the reviews say.

Thanks, I'll try to download the demo now that I have some time.
FYI: For NT/2000/XP, I suggest the compatibility administrator. Try this link (not sure if this will work):
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/nhp/default.asp?contentid=28000911
If that doesn't work, go to msdn.microsoft.com and click on Windows Development on the left. Then select Application Compatibility. Then download the Application Compatibility Tool. Unfortunately, setting things up, even with the A.C.T., is a bit tricky.
If you know how, TLJ requires ForceDXSetupSuccess and Win95VersionLie.
If you set the .exe to "Win95 Compatibility Mode" you get the "Version Lie" fix, but not the "LoadLibrary failure for old-versions of DirectX" fix.
Edit: Just got Syberia myself. First impressions: A little too PG. Graphics and puzzles are better. Music and voice acting are not better.

Syberia is an excellent game. The Longest Journey is my favorite, but Syberia is a close second.
I havent finished it yet, been busy, but from what I've played, I really enjoy it.
I honestly think Syberia is going to get Adventure Game of the Year 2002, just like The Longest Journey got Adventure Game of the Year 2000.

Syberia is a really good game with some complex puzzles. It's a fun game & its not even close to being finished. Automatons are cool!
Syberia II is in the works & will be much bigger than the first from what is being said. True, Syberia was short, but is still hard to complete & making you want a sequel, just like with The Longest Journey.
Syberia will easily win Best adventure game of the year!
I suggest buying this game.

This was the game that started me on adventure games. I bought a new computer and wanted to try out some cool graphic adventure on my new 2.0GHz/512MB RAM/80GB HDD 17.1 inch flat screen monitor so I downloaded the demo and was blown away.
I then bought the game and finished it a few days. Like Spike I get wrapped up in an adventure game and simply need to play on. (This led me to UHS a few times, but I often don't deal too well with frustration in games. Had a couple !Well, duh! Why didn't I see that experiences. Anyway, I should have a played it a bit slower.
It got me hooked and then I decided to get The Longest Journey, and was mesmerized, enchanted, dumbstruck and awed as I enjoyed the finest gaming experiences I've had to date (well Riven was magical for me as well. For completely different reasons though).
Truly a game to be savored. Looking forward to Syberia II. Gotta love those mammoths. :)
