Oh gawd! make the installing stop!

The game-file designers obviously weren't thinking about us poor saps who want to do the full installtion onto our harddrives.

There are so many small files that the installation takes over an hour and a half for just 2 gigs. If only they'd packed it into bigger files *sob*.

I know how you feel! It was horrible waiting for the install to finish. Mine got to 90% or so and crashed and started again. I could have killed it. Took around 2 and a half hours to install!

And if you do the minimum install, there is a lot of CD swapping.

When I got the game "Creatures 2" for my birthday, I made the big mistake of installing it on a slow computer (Well, me and my friends wanted to play it, and no other computer was free to installing my games onto it) We ended up counting the pwercentage of process in steps of ones. And it went like this: Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, twoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooo, thrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeee,....

In the end my friends got picked up by their parents, ad the game wasn't even half done. We had sat there for ONE HOUR!.
And the game only got one CD. :mad:
Since then I hate this computer, and it is off most of the time.

Yepp, it's annoying with the long installation, and it really bothers me that there's 4 cd's, if one is broken, you can not play the game through, or use the installation size you want! ANNOYING.
