[Bug] Chapter 5 - April in the Caves

Hello everybody...

I have a little bug, and i can't resolve myself...

I have passed the 1st door, and April is in a "crypt" with an altar and another door...

the problem is, that the troll didn't enter in these room, because the door was re-closed before he begins to walk... So he will never go to the 2nd door and i can't see the code ton continue...

I've tried lots of things (i desactivated all programs, i change the resolution of the screen, i changed my graphic card driver), but the bug is still here, and i don't know why... The better is that you give me a save, when April is behind the altar, and the troll in the room... Thank you ! I hate to ask help, but here it's necessary...

i dont know why changing your software would help but ... is it the room with the pillars and a troll walks in automaticly after a while? Or in this case, should suppose to go in :)

Grubbers come in automatically every time in that room. You just have to wait for it/them.

P.S.: He doesn't have to see you to walk in.

yes it's this room... I think i will made a screen with the "bug" :D

edit to Auras : the problem is that the "grubber" can't enter in the room... I have the cinematic : the door opens... I see the troll... The doors closed. And then he walks. I can wait 20 minutes he walks behind the "closed" door...

And April is behind the altar, the troll can't see her...

of course ! Like i said, i made lots of things... I have no idea so that's why i come here, and ask for a little help :D

If you reload a savegame before you enter this area there is extremely little risk this savegame is somehow corrupt, since it doesn't have any information relating to this particular area.

You could try letting the guy pass once, without hiding there (you can hide in the shadows).

it's not the save, i take one when Zoe is in Waticorp same problem...

So you're saying you've seen several people or creatures getting stuck in doorways? That's very strange, since no one else has reported the same problem. Playing around with the situation might still mean he gets stuck sometimes, and sometimes not. But I suppose you've tried it quite a few times?

Yes of course, it'll been 4 hours i am searching a solution... The better is a save with the troll in the room and April behind the altar...

My computer is under the minimum requirement... if i tell you his specifications, you won't believe me...

Which might be the cause of your problems. Even if it plays fine most of the time things like this can occur if your computer doesn't behave the game wants it to. It would certainly explain why you are the only one reporting these problems so far.

i know, i need to change my computer... Anyway, can you "debug" this for me ? I send you my save and you pass this small part ?

Is it possible to get the mentioned sav file? The link no longer works.

And my darned troll is stuck in exactly the same way. I'm ducking behind the altar, I hear the door open and the troll stomping around.. but after waiting an eternity I go to see what the problem is and the troll is stuck. I have gone back several save games. I've rebooted the computer. The troll is stuck and I can't progress in the game.

My card is nvidia fx5200..not supported. But I updated drivers and lowered my graphics settings to normal and antialiasing to 1 and my troll is unstuck! yay! Bonus, my inventory doesn't bounce around anymore either.

I've got a problem at the same place. April passed through the first door. But how do I get her to open the second door? When she comes to the door and I press "action" she just says "There must be some combination needed to open the door. I'll just try something". And that's all. I can't get her press the stone buttons. As for the combination, I think it is not difficult to find it at least by method of trial and error. But how to get April to press the buttons?
Or is it possible only after I've got a clear vision of the trolls opening the door? Actually when I hide behind the altar they notice April and run away. And when I hide in the niche in the wall behind the alter they don't see her and go through the second door, but the field vision doesn't work at that point, though I think that I know the combination.
But the buttons? My computer configuration is OK.

Basically you have answered yourself already. yes, you need to have a clear vision of the combination being entered by the troll. find a good place where you can watch the troll without being noticed.

Got the same problem. The troll is stuck...darn.

Basically you have answered yourself already. yes, you need to have a clear vision of the combination being entered by the troll. find a good place where you can watch the troll without being noticed.

I believe I have the same problem as the poster above.

When I "hide" her by activating the altar, it puts her in a specific position so the creature doesn't notice her. If I use the standard sneak mode anywhere behind the altar, the creature notices her and runs away. I can move her after getting her in the "proper" hide position, but she moves very slowly, and if you move too far, she stands up and scares the creature away.

The focus field SEEMS to be working correctly because the "activation brackets" are present when the light field is pointed at the creature doing its thing to the door, but there's no mini cut scene(as there sometimes is), and there's no update to her journal notes, so I'm not sure if it's the focus field, or me, or something else. I tried turning on the focus field at various times and from various(possible) viewpoints to no avail.

I've got April in the subterranean area following a cloaked person. She was able to follow a creature into the first room where the altar is. I successfully hid her behind it, and used "focus field" to observe a creature enter a code on the door, but she is still unable to open it.

I consulted two walkthrus since I initially had trouble figuring out how to access the next area, so I know I'm currently doing the correct procedure to open the door, but it still won't work.

I've searched far and wide for an answer, but have come up empty-handed thus far.

I'm running Win XP, and my version of Dreamfall TLJ is a 6cd set(I just got as a gift). I've only found two patches that I've downloaded so far, but haven't installed either yet. One is from this site(v.161, I believe) and the only other one I could find is from the Aspyr website, and it's specifically for one issue regarding one video card(not mine).
