View Full Version : The Library (spoilers)
Hi!
I just finished the game, and I absolutely loved it. I can forgive the ending because there were so many scenes when I was just glued to my seat. It was a bit slow in the beginning. One, because I could not get the hang of moving around until I used the mouse, and two, because the plot didn't really pick up for me until I met Charlie. I think being about the age of April in both games, gave that section a special resonance.
Anyhow....I haven't seen this discussed in the forums. Can anyone remember who told April to look for the White Dragon in the Library. I seem to remember it was Brian. But that would either make no sense or open up a lot more questions.....

Yeah, it was Brian. I remember he said that he had a friend who was invited to the Dark People's city and that he met a person who introduced herself as the White of Kin. So Brian recommended her to try looking for her there.
I guess that's how it was.
Don't you think that's a bit odd? What, with all the speculation that he was the one who attacked the White Kin.

You're saying that it makes no sense because Brian is the one killing the Draic Kin, right?
Just because Brian knew she was there doesn't mean he knew how to find the city. Remember that the Dark People's city moves around.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it. But it seems odd.
He has a 'friend' who told him? Why didn't he ask the friend to lead him to the city? Crow could lead someone. Why didn't he try to go the city with April instead of waiting for Zoe?
It just doesn't hang together well for me. Too coincidental.

Well he couldn't have asked his friend because: he's (his friend) already been there (so it's not like he told him before he was going to go there) and that the city keeps moving around.
Well he couldn't have gone with April the first time because he still had "some business" to attend to.
Actually finding Zoe and taking her to the city was either accidental or he already knew that. I tend to incline on the latter because when he met Zoe he had an airship prepared.

We must remember that Brian states that everything happens by fate. And in this case, the fate of Brian and Zoë meeting each other is that he got the airship for her, and she and Crow leads him to the Library!!

BTW. Why does Zoe actually visit the Library herself? Did I miss something or was that a bit of a overly complicated solution to her problem, Aprils magic friend already brought her back once before, so why didn't see just try that again?

Well after April ditching Zoe she didn't know what to do. Crow suggested Zoe to meet with Brian and help her. And Brian told Zoe to visit the White of Kin.

Still looks quite a bit far fetched, I mean April is just around the corner, even so she is probally not in the right mod, while the Dark People are not exactly easy to track down and far far away.

Well I did say that April ditched Zoe. She didn't want to help Zoe.

just makes my point (that westhoue killed the Draic Kin) stronger.
maybe he is somehow connected to Stark by the Undreaming.
then again someone said he heard the 2 monks at the beginning saying that sending brian there will cause the creation or will just unleash the undreaming. so the 2 must be connected.
