Noise and Crash

Hi, I have the noise issue like in the previous thread (only while Tobias is talking) but when I go to save after talking to Tobias, the game crashes (freezes). Really annoying, after waiting for the whole speech thing to pass. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Which version are you running? The version number is usually at the bottom of the main screen. Did the game come on 4 CDs, or is it one of the new releases?
Which language is it in?
What kind of sound hardware do you have? (check under control panel -> Sound and Audio devices -> Audio tab -> Default device)
